As you are most likely aware the new Government financial assistance for the hospitality will mean there is a new Eat Out To Help Out Scheme. The Nobly team has ensured we are ready for this change, so we want you to make sure that both you & your EPOS are ready as well. How the Scheme Works?

On Monday,Tuesday or Wednesday throughout August the government will pay 50% of a diners bill on any food or beverage - up to £10.

This applies to:

  • Restaurants
  • Cafes
  • Public houses that serve food
  • Hotel Restaurants
  • Restaurants & cafes within tourist attractions, holiday sites & leisure facilities
  • Dining rooms with members’ clubs
  • Workplace & school canteens

The government will pay this within 5 working days, with the first payment starting on 7th August.

How to set it up & how it works in NoblyPOS?

Head to the back office, under Eat Out To Help Out Scheme select your categories that apply to this.

On the front till (iPAD), click Eat Out To Help Out & select the number of guests. The total to be claimed back from the government will be automatically calculated for you in the reports & will include other information such as:

  • The number of people who used the scheme
  • The total value of the transactions of that scheme
  • The total amount of discounts that were given
